PHONE FAULT STOPS EMERGENCY CALLS

A wire fault equates to hundreds of homes in west and south Cumbria cannot strech the puncture services by dialling 999.
People in Harrington, Cockermouth, Bootle, Holme Rook, Barrow and Silverdale have possibly mislaid or have few use of landline phones.
BT pronounced it could be Sunday prior to the complaint is resolved. Mobile phone services are not affected.
Cumbria Police have urged people to check on the reserve of others well known to be in a vulnerable state.

Problems began in the Harrington area late on Friday, though widespread to beside areas.
