Cell-phone crackdown on truckers, train drivers
UPPER BERN TWP., Pa. -
The Feds are enormous down on cell phones used at the back of the circle of large rigs. Starting Tuesday, Jan 3rd, truckers will have to put down their phones or risk complicated fines.
At Love’s Truck Stop in Upper Bern Township, a small of the driver’s with their blurb driver’s permit are wearing headsets.
Dave Poquette from Tennessee pronounced he wears his all the time.

The US Department of Transportation feels the same way. Starting on Tuesday, CDL drivers can no longer use a hand-held cell phone whilst driving. And if they’re held the sovereign penalties are severe, $2,750 for drivers and $11,000 for companies that concede it.
“The excellent competence be a small steep,” pronounced Poquette, “I consider everybody should use them anyway.”
Poquette who is hauling solar panels from Colorado to New Jersey pronounced any one at the back of the circle should put down their dungeon phones.
James Roberts from South Carolina agreed. He is picking up a bucket in Bethel. He showed how his association communicates with him through a mechanism complement that usually works in his lorry when it is stopped.
James Roberts showed us the reserve facilities in his truck, though he told us inside at the lorry stop what he thinks of the new law.
“A lot of people are starting to remove their jobs too,” pronounced Roberts, “I pledge it. A lot of them are starting to remove their jobs. Because a lot of people cannot do but that phone.”
Roberts pronounced his association done all drivers wakeful of the law.
“Sign a square of paper saying if they get held they’re all starting to remove their job,” pronounced Roberts.
He pronounced he doesn’t use his phone at the back of the wheel. But he doesn’t wish to take any chances.
“I usually purchased this today,” pronounced Roberts land up a wireless headset.
The feds goal 4 million blurb drivers will also be reduction distracted.
